This Privacy & Security Policy (hereinafter referred to as 'Policy') governs the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of your information by our mobile application 'FinArt' (hereinafter also referred as 'App'), our website i.e. www.finart.app ('Website') or any other services including the analysis of expenses and bills based on SMS and related content (collectively the "FinArt App Service"), made available to you by FRIENTEER SOFTWARE PVT. LTD. hereinafter called 'Company'.

As we update, improve and expand the FinArt App Service, this policy may change, so please refer to it periodically. By accessing the website, App or otherwise using the FinArt App Services, you consent to collection, storage, and use of the personal information you provide (including any changes thereto as provided by you) for any of the services that we offer.

This policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use.

The Company respects the privacy of the users of the FinArt App Services and is committed to reasonably protect it in all respects. The information about the user as collected by the Company is: (a) information supplied by users and (b) information automatically tracked while using a mobile device having FinArt App Services enabled (collectively referred to as Information).


INFORMATION COLLECTED

To avail certain services on the FinArt App, users are required to provide access to your phone's SMS inbox records, location, device ID, device name, device model and any other such information as required. The Information as supplied by the users enables us to improve the FinArt App and provide you the best app experience. All required information is service dependent and the Company may use the above said user Information to maintain, protect, and improve the FinArt App Services and for developing new services.

Personal Information: FinArt does not explicitly ask for any kind of personally identifiable information such as Name, Email address, Contacts or Phone number etc. at the time of installation. However, such information could be made available to us either (1) explicitly by you for the purpose of contacting the company or (2) in process of using third party services such as Google Drive for backup and/or Google play store for subscription payment. Such information may also be present in SMS sender name or SMS text, But FinArt does not extract this information to create your profile. Any personally identifiable information made available to the App will not be considered as sensitive if it is freely available and/or accessible in the public domain. Further, any reviews, comments, messages, blogs posted/uploaded/conveyed/communicated by users on the public sections of the Site or an Application Store (like the App Store or Play Store) becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy. We will not be liable and or responsible for the denial of certain services to you for lack of you providing the necessary personal information. Further if the personal contact information is made available to the company, we may contact you from time to time about any topic that we believe may benefit/interest you.

SMS Inbox Information: For the purpose of providing automated expense tracking service, App reads the text messages (SMS) sent by providers of services and/or products including but not limited to Credit or Debit Card Issuing Institutes, Banks, mobile carriers, utility companies & retail outlets. No personal SMS are read by the App. Your explicit consent is taken before reading SMS Inbox of the mobile device at the time of installing the App. Any SMSes reported by users to the company are also used to train our engine in order to improve the App services. The collection of such information is only limited to the extent that such data is available in the relevant messages. FinArt may also record the identity of the product or service and the price or fee paid or payable in respect thereof.

Location Information: If enabled, App may use the location services of your mobile device to (a) record the location whenever you make a transaction & receive an SMS alert in order to show you the location map of all expenses or transactions, (b) provide the peer to peer data sync feature so you can sync the data across multiple devices. You are prompted for consent before using location services of mobile device.

Other Information: In addition, the Application may collect (either directly or through third party integrated services such as Google Analytics, Facebook android SDK etc.) certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the mobile device model, device name, device's serial number or unique identification number (e.g. Android ID or ADID on your Android Device), device operating system & version etc. and information about the way you use the Application. This information is only used to improve the Application & the service.


PRIVATE MODE
App provides a flagship feature called 'Private Mode' in the settings section in order to give an enhanced degree of control over your personal data. If the private mode is turned ON, App prevents any SMS text or Transaction information to go outside of the mobile device. Only the sender name and merchant information is transmitted occasionally in order to parse any new unprocessed messages or categorize new merchants.

Your app experience will be at par, while in Private Mode. However, if any one of your banks/service providers changes the SMS format, it may not get processed until you share a sample SMS with us or we receive similar SMS from another user.


USER RIGHTS FOR DENIAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
User may choose to deny the SMS permission, location permission and use of third-party backup service. Each of these actions would impact some functionality of the App but it will continue to perform other functions.

However, the services such as the subscription payment on Google Play store is mandatory and App will stop working after the trial period if the subscription is not activated.

Users may at any time stop collection of information by the Application by uninstalling the App. User may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of mobile device or via the mobile application or network.


PURPOSE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION
This information can be used by us to maintain, protect and improve the services provided by the company or for developing new services. You also consent to the information obtained to be used in order to contact you for administrative purposes such as customer service, notification of major changes and updates etc.

Any personally identifiable information available in the public domain, reviews, comments, messages or emails etc. posted/sent by users becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Policy.


DATA RETENTION, MANAGING INFORMATION
Your data may be retained for a reasonable time as necessary for providing you the required services or your explicit request to delete the data, whichever is earlier.


DATA SECURITY
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Please be aware that, we endeavour to provide reasonable anonymity & security to information we process, store, maintain and transmit on best effort basis. Access to our servers is password-protected and is strictly limited.

Note that, no money can be moved through this App. This means that even though you can view accounts, analyse expenses and transactions, you or the App cannot transfer money from one account to another.


THIRD PARTIES
Company shall not publish, sell, give on rent, trade or otherwise transfer any personal information to third parties except when it is required by law, such as to comply with a legal process or when disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
If “Company” is going for merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via notice on our web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

When you use third-party services integrated in our Services, for example, while using a data backup service like Google Drive, they will receive information you share with them. If you interact with a third-party service linked through our Services, you may be providing information directly to such third party. Please note that when you use third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies will govern your use of those services.
